As cute as it gets!

Here is one of Hanna's babies who is just starting to open her eyes. I guess the first thing he will do is stop and smell the roses, or geraniums...

Wembley and Hanna like to look out of the back yard, even if they have to make their own windows!

Meet the puppies...

This litter has pretty typical Old English markings: dark bodies with white bellies, heads and feet. All puppies start out black and white. A good sheepdog should have no brown or tan in their coat. As they grow, their undercoat comes in and the full coat is usually grey or grizzle (sometimes called blue) and white.

Here is a list of some of the unique markings of our pups:

1. Female. White head with black right ear

2. Male. Black spot inside both ears

3. Male. Right eye patch and white shoulder spot

4. Male. Left eye patch that includes ear

5. Male. Left eye patch and white spot on rump

6. Male. Snowcap. White spot in front of tail

7. Female. Nearly Snowcap with white spot on right center rump

8. Male. Black spot on left ear. Has one blue eye.

9. Female. Left eye patch.

Off to the Vet

On Tuesday, June 20, 2006, the puppies had their first visit to the vet. They had a wellness check and had their tails docked and dewclaws removed. This is standard procedure for the Old English Sheepdog breed.

Aren't they cute?

Here is the litter...

The puppies have arrived!

On Saturday, June 17, 2006, Hanna began giving birth to a litter of nine wonderful puppies! They are so beautiful, and it was such a joy to watch the miracle of birth right in our own kitchen.

Meet Wimbledon of Brickhaven

Wembly, as we call him, is affectionate, outgoing, great with children, and an excellent watchdog. He is strong, intelligent, and healthy, and we belive he will pass thee traits along to his "children".

Meet Hanna Girl of Granbury

This is the mother of our new babies. Hanna is a beautiful dog with excellent lines. She is sweet, gentle, and an excellent mother. She had a litter of nine healthy pups on June 17, just in time for Father's Day! There are 5 males and 4 females. Four of the pups have a black patch over one eye, and two have all white heads, sometimes called "snowcaps".
